Parents are an integral part of the Bartlett Baptist Kindergarten & Preschool family. We find that communication between parents and teachers—as well as participation from parents-assists teachers in providing a positive learning atmosphere for the children. Here are some of the ways BBPS involves students’ families:Birthday Celebration: Each child is honored, and their family may provide a birthday snack for the entire class (remember the teachers!) to enjoy. Summer birthdays are honored in May all on one day.Super Star Day of the Week: Each child in Jr. Kindergarten & Kindergarten is spotlighted along with their family.Parties: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Easter are celebrated with parent-directed parties in all classes. There is a limit of 10 adults per class per party. These 10 adults are selected on a rotating basis for each party.Grandparents’ Day, Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad are celebrated as the lead teacher schedules in each class, once per year.Programs: The entire school participates in a Christmas program and a Spring program for the families to enjoy. The Kindergarteners graduate at the Spring Program in Cap & Gown!Conferences: Parents & teachers meet in January when students are not attending school on specific days listed in our school calendar for a special time to discuss each child’s progress. Additional conferences may be scheduled by the parent, teacher or Principal whenever needed.
